More specifically, Wednesday, August 15, is National Relaxation Day!
Self-care is not Selfish
Self-care is the active participation of enhancing your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and quality of life. It means engaging in activities that take care of our minds, bodies, and souls by promoting well-being and reducing stress. You must fill your own cup before you can pour into others.
Nevada Health Centers will be launching a Virtual Self-Care Series for tweens, teens, and parents (English and Spanish for parents), geared toward psychoeducation, community support, and enrichment. The series will begin July 13th and be offered monthly (2nd Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each month). The Flyers (attached) contain the curriculum and signup information. All classes are free and there will be a $25 gift card raffle for participants.
